The SP5550TI TEMPEST AMSG788A wide format Laser Printer is based on the HP5550 series providing unparalleled quality, reliability and compatibility.  The SP5550TI combines a 28 page per minute print engine for colour printing at the same speed as black and 600 x 600 dpi resolution with ImageREt 3600 to deliver superb image quality. Together with enhanced paper handling, superior print quality and optional network connections the SP5550TI provides a versatile solution to today’s TEMPEST workgroup laser printing requirements.

The vertical inline architecture is easy to maintain - printer design delivers colour in a single pass plus convenient front access to the printer and clear labelling that make installing print cartridges a simple task for any user.  It is also fitted with an IEEE 1284 compliant bi-directional parallel port and can also be fitted with a 10 or 100 Mbps fibre Ethernet interface and USB 1.1 compliant port.

The TEMPEST printer retains all the functional ability and ease of use of the original equipment, including the use of optional duplex unit, envelope feeder and additional 500-sheet paper cassette. The SP5550TI series is compatible with all the main operating systems: Windows 98, NT4.0, 2000, XP, Solaris etc.

The SP5550TI printer is fitted with a rear cable guard to protect the connectors and allow for cable bend radius.
