API Technologies to Showcase RF/Microwave and Power Solutions at Modern Day Marine 2016

Marlborough, MA — September 22, 2016 — API Technologies Corp. ("API" or the "Company"), a leading provider of high performance RF, microwave, millimeterwave and security solutions, today announced that it will be showcasing a sampling of its tactical power and RF power amplifier products at the Modern Day Marine exhibition in booth #1515. Modern Day Marine is the premier military equipment, systems, services, and technology show for the Marine Corp. The show will take place September 27-29 at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.

API’s power distribution and conversion solutions, including man-portable, weatherproof, ruggedized, and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) units will be on display to highlight the Company’s expertise in converting AC voltage power to DC voltage power from a variety of input power sources. API’s products provide numerous benefits due to their small footprint, including the ability to be easily stowed when not deployed in the field, and reduced fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear. API’s power products are designed to support the requirements of C4ISR systems, critical electronic warfare (EW) applications, and weapons equipment.

API will display a 200 watt dual channel rack mount power amplifier subsystem for shipboard and military communication systems. This amplifier assembly demonstrates the company’s core competencies in RF filter/amplifier integration and GaN technology. The unit is housed in an iridite coated aluminum chassis, making it ideal for demanding military applications. The units on display at Modern Day Marine are all built to perform in extreme temperature or weather conditions.

“API’s rugged and military power systems support the Marine Corp’s mission of energy efficiency, portability, and reduced cost of overall system ownership,” said Don Barnas, Vice President, Worldwide Sales. “We are able to further demonstrate the depth of capability API Technologies brings to supporting military communications and C4ISR operations across all branches of service by showcasing our power solutions alongside API’s robust RF and microwave offering.”

API’s Power and RF/Microwave systems and subsystems are ideal for a variety of defense applications such as:

  • EW (Electronic Warfare)
  • Vehicle Electronics
  • Homeland Security & Critical Infrastructures
  • Manned Ground Vehicles
  • Military Communications
  • C4ISR
  • Radar
