(OTC.BB: ATNY), a provider of highly engineered products and services to the global defense sector, announces that it has received a new, $1.7 million order from Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) of El Segundo, California.  API will supply Raytheon SAS with engineering services and assemblies for the radar system incorporated within the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft. The order will be will be designed and manufactured in the Company’s Pennsylvania facility.

API Technologies Completes Sale of Discontinued Nanotechnology Assets

The Company announced on February 22, 2010 that it was closing its nanotechnology research and development subsidiary in order to focus on its expanding defense business and improve its overall financial performance. Through the closing of this transaction, the Company not only received the cash proceeds but also eliminated the liabilities related to a shut down process, which were expected to be approximately $1.6 million.
