New API Site Enhancements

You may have already noticed the new site look/feel. But, we wanted to point out some additional site enhancements aimed at helping you find products and solutions more easily:

  • Product Finder - We've improved the Product Finder feature. Now you can search for products in three ways: by product category (e.g. UAS/UAV), by search term (e.g. "MIL-STD 810") or by product brand name (e.g. Cryptek).
  • More Product / Service Categories -  We've vastly expanded our product category list and grouped them vertically, by capability (i.e. no more pulldown menu), so it is easier to find what you are looking for.
  • Ask an Engineer - Our "Ask an Engineer" feature lets you communicate directly with our engineering team regarding your product questions.

This patented technology, awarded to the Company’s Cryptek™ product line, part of the Secure Systems and Information Assurance (SSIA) Division, is a core component in its Netgard™ Encryption Suite, enabling coalition information sharing (across a single network) while providing multi-domain security for Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructure components like databases and applications servers.

CAC/PIV Card Reader Makes Any Printer or Multi Function Device a Secure, Print-on-demand Device

ORLANDO, FL — August 22, 2011 — API Technologies Corp. , a provider of electronic systems, subsystems, RF, and secure systems for defense, aerospace, and commercial applications, announced today that its Netgard™ MFD can now enable multi-function devices (MFD) with secure print release capabilities. The Netgard MFD will be on display at Booth #636 at LandWarNet, August 23-25 in Tampa, FL.

When used with workflow software, the Netgard MFD allows U.S. Department of Defense ("DoD") employees to send any job to their network print server and then print the document on-demand at any printer/MFD connected to the network by swiping a CAC (Common Access Card) in the Netgard reader. The Netgard MFD is currently used by the DoD to make previously non-secure MFDs compliant with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
